By 1978 Alan decided to leave 'Marmalade' and work in management and record production. He studied photography and used his skills to photograph and package the artists he worked with.
Acts that Alan has managed, include Amazulu, Bell Stars, Modern Romance, and Mel 'n Kim.
He was head hunted by Mecca to run their agency which supplied acts to 180 large venues. When Mecca was bought out by Rank, Alan went back to working with his own company,
He discovered "The Dream Boys" (an English "Chippendales") and created The UK Glamour Girl Revue. A female version of the Chippendales, and for 10 years toured the world, including 4 tours of Australia.
